Last year mistakes to avoid this year.

Bought too many things ahead of time and never used them yet, and they might not work once I do. Examples are domains, aged accounts, software subscription, etc. No guarantees that I will do better this year, bought some accounts already!

Thanks y'all for sharing one and two about the mistakes you made last year.

Last year I tried to do too many things at once and ended up spreading myself thin.

This year, I’m focusing on fewer priorities and actually finishing them. Less chaos, more results.

What are the mistakes you made last year that you would like to avoid this year??

Share them and let others learn from it.

Thanks
Stop spending money like if you're a money machine and start saving it. Also, never reveal how much you're really making even to close people.

I would say going to do more reading this year, learn faster by reading

That's a good decision man because doing too many things don't bring much results like fewer priorities does. Less chaos, more results indeed man.

Thanks for the advise man.

Will try to do that.

I guess it's because I don't take my work too seriously. I don't do that anymore.

One mistake I made was focusing too much on publishing new content instead of improving existing pages and internal linking this year I’m prioritizing optimization and quality over quantity.

One lesson I learned in 2025 is the importance of patience and sincerity when dealing with potential clients. I work in advertising and media, specifically providing invoice-based advertising accounts, and I’ve realized that this type of service is very much a “long-term trust” business.

Many potential clients may not need the service immediately, but I still try to stay in touch with them, offer advice or solutions when they need help, and simply keep the conversation going. The idea is that when they eventually need an advertising account, I’ll be the first person they think of.

So the main mistake I want to avoid this year is chasing short-term wins. Building trust and long-term relationships is much more valuable.

Focusing too heavily on just one business, taking too long to develop tools without validating them first, and keeping employees who don't justify their salaries.
