Hey guys,

Maybe some of you have an idea. So my brother bought a laser engraving machine which can also be used for cutting etc. etc.

He asked me if I can make him a website so he can sell online. I told him of course but at the same time I was very clear with him that marketing is 90% of the whole endeavour, especially with a more or less crowded niche like that.

Apparently he pushed my warning to the back of his head and he even bought a second laser machine for different purposes.

Now he has 2 laser machines, tons of materials for engraving like in a souvenir shop, and no idea about marketing. I unfortunately don't have time to do the marketing (you guys know how much work that is).

He is still working full time and that is just his side gig. I still feel bad though. So maybe one of you guys have an idea what he could do with these machines except the typical souvenir shop engraving stuff.

Our area is industry heavy, almost no tourism and people tend to spend less nowadays due to the economy.

I would be grateful for a few ideas, maybe one of them would be good for a side gig!

contact other laser merch local companies and ask if they ever have growth or production problems that your company can help with. "Have you ever lost money not meeting demand in time? As boy do I have the solution for you! For only $XXX a month, you can have us at the ready to step in and help double your production any time"

Great idea too! Noted!

You can go for B2B opportunities.

Many companies require branded items in bulk especially around year end.

Go in local factories, shop with samples and show them what you are providing.

See what is on Etsy, and improve. Lots of traffic and sales/data there on this niche, good luck!

Had the same idea too, thanks for confirming it!

Thats true, Etsy is completely full of that. The funny part is, most of the products you find are blueprints and engraving files :D
