Laravel vs CI

Hi all, newbie here!

Im taking on a sizeable custom escorts website. The site that I am working is also built on larvel and most others suggested this platform while discussing. I have no hired someone doing my designs and they have suggested to do it in CI. They said it's much easier managed from a novice side of things. I have no experience in building even wordpress sites but of course I can do all the basics on my own WP site I have.

My question is which is the best platform and as a novice on even wordpress, would choosing CI be a better option if its anywhere near as simple as WP so i can make basic changes without a developer or is it a case I will still need to hire someone regardless. Thanks

This is different concepts.
Wordpress - is CMS.
CI / Laravel - are PHP frameworks.
If a novice can serve the Wordpress, then for frameworks you need a full-fledged programmer.

Since the sizeable site is on Laravel, why not just use Laravel?
Learn and/or hire at the same time?
Changing a framework is a delicate process, consider SEO, tracking, and other impacts.

I would prefer laravel any day.

I would recommend Laravel. it will do a lot of heavy lifting for you.

CodeIgniter also kind of does the same, but little less, and the community around CI is no more evolving and its kind of dead.

I was very fluent in CodeIgniter. I knew nothing about Composer so Laravel was a little learning curve for me to get things started and running.

Coding is kind of the same though.

It doesn't matter which framework you go choose, as long as you have everything in admin panel to run the site smoothly. I've developed lots of laravel projects and few CI projects, and I will go with laravel any day mate.
