Hello you very wonderful and intelligent people that make up this forum, i sincerely hope you have had a wonderful week so far and you are are happy and healthy.

For my work which is mainly digital marketing, i primarily have around 10 tabs open in Google Chrome for various logins to various systems. I usually have a Word document open in which i make notes. I am wanting to upgrade my laptop, primarily i am wanting something that is fast and will not lag between me conducting tasks.

I am wanting to upgrade from the Intel Core i5-7200U @ 2.50 GHz to the Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.80GHz. I note the clock speed for my Intel Core i5-7200U was 2.5GHz and the laptop i am wanting to upgrade has a clock speed of 1.80GHz. I have kindly enclosed a screenshot to this message, so you can see the specification details. I please wanted to ask will this Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.80 GHz laptop be faster for performing various tasks at once in Google Chrome and using Microsoft Word please? If anyone kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever grateful and thankful it would mean the world to me.

Thank you very much for any support you can give. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Sending you lots of good wishes and i truly hope you have a wonderful and happy life. With my every best wishes to you.

Habibi, upgrade to a MacBook, but make sure it’s an M-series ! :)

Also, ensure you have at least 16GB RAM

Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.80GHz will be faster fs

but if your main focus is to open multiple Google Chrome tabs and Word or other MS office products the other main thing u should focus is the RAM and a better SSD (NVME even better)

16 GB Ram will help you to run Google Chrome Smoothly with multiple tabs
256 or 512 GB SSD will be great with it, and if you want to save your photos , videos or something just get a HDD extra

With this I think you are good to go and you won't have problems
