Today when I wanted to reinstall windows 8 on my Laptop (Samsung R530) my screen gone completely black. I plugged the USB stick then restarted the PC and I did not know which F is for boot so I pressed both F10 and F12. What do you think it could be? I hear the fan working but the screen is black.

Unplug the laptop from power cord, remove the battery, press the power on button and hold it so for 10 seconds, place the battery back and then power on.
If that does not work, try the same as above but instead of placing the battery back, have only the power cord plugged in before you try the power on.

Maybe this will help.

I have tried this like 5 times and still doesn't work...

Have you tried alternate RAM modules? Also might be worth trying a different AC adapter .
also could be a combo of combination of the motherboard dying and taking the RAM with it
it happens alot with that model get the laptop checked over

I had this happen on my Laptop and it was the Graphics card that went.

If it's the Graphics card, Simply take it out and reflow it. OR it might also be your LCD screen that died, if it's the screen, I think you might have to get a new one.

My screen on my Dell is dead. Its the backlight on mine. Try and plug in another monitor to the laptop and see what happens then.

Might be ram issue i guess. Take it to a store better imo trying things on pc is easy but lappy since delicate feather touch is ideal

Without the box in front of me, and the lack of information that you have given regarding make and model, I will give you a couple of rectal estimates (Stick finger up ass and pull guess out based on experience).
1. Bad screen inverter. Part cost $10 - $50 on ebay. Time to repair about 1 hour. Difficulty depends on machine.
2. Movement/vibration dislocated connector. Time to repair about 1 hour. Difficulty depends on laptop.

If newer laptop, then either the connector is dislodged/dislocated or the led illumination strip is burnt out.
