Laptop recomendations....

Alright right now I have an alienware laptop but its not that great... its got a few problems internally that cause it to fk up...
What are some GOOD laptops. Price range $800 - $2k
I would like a 15 inch screen but with desktop like capabilities.

Take a look at ASUS laptops, awesome except a major agreement between a big company like BestBuy or whatever was never yet made.

I just bought a toshiba satellite laptop 4 gigs of ram, dual processor, 450 gigs, awesome 15 in display for $899 at best buy.

I realize their average on the rankings, but I thought the price was pretty good for all the goodies.

I really enjoy it so far.
 
Ya I have looked at asus alot, I also want a "pretty" laptop :-)
Well doesn't have to be to good but I dont want some hunk of plastic that works really well. Thats what I think of most toshiba's haha
 
hey i was just trying to help. obviously i could name some high end computers. just trying to give you a recommendation from personal experience.

I guess with your cpagreed money rolling in money shouldn't be a factor anymore.
 
hehe, I wasnt trying to be offensive, Im sure its a good laptop haha, just from MY experience I havn't seen to many good toshiba's. Got a model number? I can give it a look. It would be sweet to find one for that price
 
no offense taken. I was goofing around also. i know how us IT techs get about our hardware.

I just thought it was pretty good for the money. I figure at that price I can afford a new one every other year.

I hate mac's... Sorry nev, I just do haha, I think they are over priced for the capabilities and have compatibility errors.
 
I'd suggest a Dell XPS 1530.
LED display, HDMI-out, and a slot-loading drive are a few of the benefits.
 
I personally use a Dell M90 precision. I can run this bitch 24/7 365 (and I do) and it NEVER gives me any trouble. Not exactly what you might call pretty; it's all sleek lines and not much adornment but DAMN is it ever capable. I haven't found anything that it can't handle. My bro and I operate a laptop business both online and in our hometown. We're also hooked up with some people who buy in bulk directly from Dell. PM me if you need some help finding a good deal.

I haven't had one capability error ever... I have my hard drive partitioned with XP on it as well... I love it.
 
I have had a couple of toshiba satellites and have nothing but good things to say. They use quality hardware and they're laptops are really durable. I have been on a lot of crazy nights with my laptop in my backpack roaming around and they start right up every time
 
I love my Gateway and I've ran it 24/7 for about a year w/o any problems. You can find some really good deals on Dells though on e*bay.
 
I would go sony vaio, buy it on ebay "pm for my cookie" so I get paid when you buy it. ps buy the most costly one you can find so I make big bucks!! lol ... and by the way can I have your old laptop?
 
I know that you asked for 15',
but for the desktop replacement I went with 17'

I got myself HP Pavilion dv9700t series a few weeks ago.

I paid like $1200 after $500 rebate.
I put maximum CPU, Memory etc.

So far so good, cannot complain.
