It's the "everyone else is wrong" part that made your post stand out, especially because you weren't exactly correct yourself.
Nevertheless I'm sorry, what I said wasn't called for, I guess we all make mistakes and looking at your reply to my response, well you sure don't sound like a moron.
I don't take any of this stuff seriously, or personally. This isn't really me, and this isn't really you, so I don't really understand the people that insist that we are all supposed to act and pretend as if that's how things are.
And, if one (me) is going to go around provoking people, it's going to come back. Hello.
I have this theory. It starts from the 6 years I spent making topographic maps, where 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, day after day, all I ever did was spend my time looking into a visual environment, digitizing points on a plotter, which were saved on a computer. An extremely stimulation deprived environment. I learned then that it has an effect on your personality, and to a great extent, your identity. The mind (this mind, at least) demands stimulation, and it will do whatever it has to in order to get it.
Fast forward a few years, and I have various online identities on various forums, another stimulation deprived environment. Eventually I connected the two, and decided that this is why pornography is so widespread online, and so many conversations between perfect strangers are so explicitly sexual. Why people become so passionate about so many details that are completely irrelevant. Why the tendency to have internet fights is so strong, why there needs to be a separate governing class of "Moderators" that essentially censor the speech of others. It's not just (as so many people believe) that the safety and anonymity of the internet affords cowardly people the opportunity to become "keyboard warriors", I think the more dominant reason is that people demand some kind of stimulation in order to stay engaged and interested.
So basically, it all comes down to sex and violence. The Freudian "Id", if you will. All of those wild and uncontrolled passions come ejaculating into the dry, sterile field of text. So, with this awareness, I am presented with a choice. I can submit to social pressure and accept the resultant loss of that hypersense "stuff", or I can attempt to USE the lurid language with intent and purpose. And sometimes it's just practice, going through the motions, just to keep my mad skilz honed, and sometimes I really mean it, and it takes on a life of it's own.
So all that is context for you to have, in order to know that there's really nothing personal going on. I'm an author, and I've created a fictitious character named Nigel Farage, and he has pink hair and a pink pimp hat, and you can't see it in the photo, but he likes to go around wearing a pink ballerina's tutu. That's the only way to soften and tone-down the raw animal magnetism of his heterosexual hypermasculinity.
