Landscape photos receive less engagement?

In comparison to default or portrait photos, I've noticed that landscape photos are risky for engagement, even with exceptional content. I run a model/repost Instagram, and maybe think that this format doesn't work for that niche. What's your take on Landscape photos
 
Nope. I post all 4:3 aspect ratio. As long as the thumbnail doesn't crop anything vital.
It has no ill effect. 3:4 seem to do good "in some cases" because it takes up a lot of screen real estate.

Okay, I need to look into what photo would work best for this. I only use landscape photos if the model is laying down. I always resize in Photoshop the right dimension to keep it's integrity
 
How many landscape photos have you posted to notice this? I run a page and a lot of my content is in landscape
