Landing Pages

Can anyone point me towards information relating to 'what works' or 'best practice' for landing pages? I don't have the traffic to do testing yet and would like to learn from others if possible. Many thanks.

I'm no expert in landing pages, but this literally took me 2 minutes of Googling. :/ Believe in your own google-fu skills, man. Just do it.

If you decided to consult Father Google ... you are going to get 12,500,000 results, making it somewhat hard to find the information you are looking for.
