Landing pages

Hi guys another noobie question for ya.

A cliënt of mine has different landing pages optimised for different keywords. What's better in building links.

To build links with keyword / search terms etc and point them to the root domain? Or is it better when you specifally link to these landing pages?

If you build all homepage links you will get dick slapped by Google. I try to keep below 33% homepage linking. The rest can be "landing pages" or whatever you want as long as you don't go full retard and build 80% of your links just to a couple landing pages that get zero traffic. Hub pages should get links too.

I would say it's always better to set up a full page pop-up using SUMO for example and optimize it in a way to be a lead capture.
Then you refer to your homepage with that full page pop-up lead capture.

Landing pages are having a huge potential,
But for me, if not done right, it will be pushing serious leads away of your site.
