Hey guys, just a question but specifically what is a landing page when it comes to SEO. What kind of components should it have on it when promoting a CB Offer or something? Also I was curious should you have the page collecting emails? Like say I wanted to use a Facebook fan base to get paid through a landing page what should I do?

A langing page has the purpose of pre-selling. Think from a users perspective who reaches your landing page. The first lines have to catch the user's attention after that, give him a short introduction of what you are offering and why he should get what you have to offer. Give some reasons, show some examples and proofs, and at the end, have a STRONG CALL TO ACTION button.

Nevertheless, always keep your landing page template in high quality. Avoid too fancy themes and unneccessary words.

Choose the goal of your landing page : sales OR capture email. I do not recommend to to both in the same page, that will not work.

Whatever you decide, you can use http://www.90secondsqueezepage.com/ to create your page in 90 sec :)

So should there be ads and or CB on your landing page if you use it for email capture? I've seen people talk about using it for stuff like free gift cards is the sole purpose of that to collect emails?

If you are using to grab emails, make sure to give some incentives, ads are sometimes a turn-off for the user.

For SEO, a landing page is treated just like a normal web page which has to be optimized for their keyword and has a fast loading speed.

With Facebook, every landing must have an email collection box. No questions asked.

I think there's some confusion on here...a LANDING PAGE is a page designed to get visitors to land on it, from search engines. So the page is optimised for keywords.

There are different types of landing pages, including:

SQUEEZE PAGE: a landing page designed to get users to subscribe to a mailing list.
SALES PAGE: a landing page designed to get, you guessed it, sales.

In terms of strategy, work out what you want site visitors to do, then optimise your pages accordingly.

So for social networking, I should go with squeeze pages? And have them collect emails from people through freebie offers like free giftcards or w/e, and then email them CPA offers?

I recommend you to use chat-bots for landing pages. It helps to increase conversion and lead-generation.
