What works better question:
Should I create my own landing page or use what ever CB provides?

a pre-sell landing page will work better, if you are good are creating them

just grab some pre-installed one's or do it your self if you are good in creating them. or you can always hire someone for that.

I was going to do couple of yt vids and invest in retention views. If that doesn't work I'll dump cash into senuke or a scraper. What do you guys/gals think?

Explaining the things naturally that you're using the product for a while and recommend to others work well for me. At the end put the strong call to action image like ' check the website' ' order now' 'download now' anything related to sales page.

I guess you have had an experience on fiver already with the landing page now you can try your second option
