I want to try some cheap and dirty turn and burn sites. What's a good way to create really smooth looking landing pages? I don't need any type of backend.

Do u want just plain html or is it wordpress related?

HTML is fine, or even a very light php base.

There are a lot of landing page gigs on fiverr.

Yeah, for most of my landing pages I design in photoshop, slice, then I code in html/css/jquery. This is pretty much all you need (plus the creative marketing mindset)

This might be what I'm looking for. Any other suggestions are welcome.

I did not know they offered landing page gigs on Fiverr. Has anyone tried these? Do they really design a complete landing page for five bucks? And how is the quality?

I have never tired but but I can assure you that it will be a miracle if you find someone willing to do a high ctr/well designed/coded landing page for $5. I can only see someone doing that if they were trying to build up their portfolio for up sells down the road or they are doing it because they are just pumping it out with a generic template. In conclusion, you get what you pay for, and for $5 I would not expect much at all.
