Hello all,

What is a good, and recommended amount of characters I should strive for on my landing page?

Thanks,
TWS

Depends what your selling honestly.

For BizzOp type stuff these days videos work very well with a few phrases and maybe a sentence or two on the homepage.
But a health type product/supplement may take a paragraph or two. Maybe even more in addition to a video to help explain and sell the product.

What's your niche? Maybe I have some suggestions for you

number of characters are not really that important for your LP however eye catching design, sales pitch and easily accessible call-to-action buttons are.

Something you would deem effective at delivering the message. Nothing fixed in nature as there are several variables to fill in.

Number of words does not bothers much, quality of content does, moreover how your content is related to the services you offer ,
Some good and well designed LPs catch eye of the buyer so LP should be designed well .

Have to agree, less about sheer numbers. It's more about keeping the client there, rather than boring them with a long intro. Pics, catchphrases, some pros about your business are good places to start.

As many as you need to sell your product or service, or get the person to take action.

What is the action you want the person to take?
How much convincing do they need to take it - where have they landed from and what would their remaining objections be?

More important than that is design and offer.

Like with anything else in marketing it depends. Regardless, effective A/B testing is key and you need to test and retest to determine what has the best ROI.

You should strive for exactly 1263 characters on every landing page regardless of what anyone else tells you. I have at least 42,000 archived keywords for ranking and banking in a database which is optimized for sales conversion calculations. This plus the square root of PI proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that 1263 is precisely the best quantity of characters to include on one's landing page for maximum conversions, ad clicks, email opt-ins, or other metric conversion factors.

But seriously ... this question is poorly founded at best. There is no correct answer to this question, nor any cause to ever ask this question since the answer will always depend on way too many things.
