Also, you can use XAMPP/Apache Friends. It's really good for testing.

    a few questions upfront :
    1. apache2 version ?
    2. php5 version ?
    3. mysql version ?
    4. apache.conf file ?
    5. php.ini configuration (zend, eaccelerator etc)?
    6. are you using the LAMP server only for local use or are you using a dynamic DNS for hosting domains (doesnt matter if tld or sub)?
and last but not least : with what kind of script are you working ? not knowing what you're doing is like when your in the ocean and calling for help and the conversation would be like :

    you : help, I'm sinking !!!
the guy who wants to help : give me you coordinates !
    you : I'm in the ocean !
the guy who wants to help :

don't get me wrong, I don't want to be rude.

Thanks guys I'm at work now and left my pc off so no remote access. I'll try it once I get home. I'm using this for testing and was thinking about using it for production. Not long term but for about a week to see if the site would be worth the investment.

So after spending hours on this i've come to the conclusion it is the script i am using. It was AVS 2.1, but the odd thing is when i load it on to a true host like 000webhost it works. But i've given up on it and am looking for an alternative.
