Anyone know how I could locate or find bad neighborhoods/sites according to Google?

Northwest Portland was the worst area I ever lived in.

That being said I assume you are looking for sites ;)

I doubt that Google would let everyone know this, at least easily, but if someone has a trick that would be cool!

Google will consider a site guilty of link spam if a certain percentage of its backlinks (I'm afraid I don't know exactly the amount needed) come from sites with a large number of outbound links. I would call a "large number" something in the 200 range. If a certain percentage of the backlink sources of a website have lots of outbound links, it is extremely probable that spam communities are involved. I believe this is the foremost way in which Google detects linkspam, although there are certainly other ways.

Also, it's possible that google marks a site as a spam community when it sees certain words occurr in certain places, such as viagra anchor links on a programming site. However, I do not have direct evidence for this.

So, "bad" sites would constitute spam bins with 200 or more OBLs and containing common spam keywords like viagra, cialis, sohbet, porno izle etc.

To find such sites, get the backlink profiles of the top 20 for these spammy keywords. Use backlinkwatch.com - it displays the number of OBLs. You can rank them in order high to low. Some sites out there are so chock full of spam its unreal, I've seen .edu pages with up to 5000 outbound links.

I am guessing you want to find these "bad" sites so you can discredit your competitors? If I've got this wrong and you want to know more just to avoid them, the details are the same.

Are you talking about the page the link is on, or OBL's for the entire domain, .. I only ask as 5000+ OBL's on one page would just floor me to see lol...
