I was unsure where to post this thread, but it is like a journey for me, so I am posting it here. I might need suggestions as well, so please feel free to comment and provide your kind expertise.
Recently I started working on a personal project to develop a website that can be used as a Knowledge-Base. Just like Encyclopedia or Wikipedia, but in a very simpler form. Now you might think, if Wikipedia is already there then why I am thinking to create something similar!
The answer is that, it is only similar in one thing and that is the knowledge-base that it is going to cover. The way I have developed the website is entirely different and has below functionalities;

Although this project is already launched, but I haven't invited people to join it, as I am not sure how to monetize it. I have taken Google Adsense approval, still getting traffic seems undoable without paid marketing strategies.
I want suggestions and feedbacks about how to connect with experts around the world, and encourage them to be a part of this community. Plus any feedback on things that I can improve or add to attract traffic to this website.Any monetization strategy is also welcome. Thanks

- Users can register on this website and create their profiles with some bio.
- They can post articles and can buy badges like Doctor, Lawyer, Formulation Scientist, etc depending upon their background and actual certifications.
- People around the world can Star Rate their writings, which will also determine most popular article which will be shown on the first page and then less popular ones.
- It also has a group and private chat option and even a commenting system that can be used to interact with other users.
- It also has a clap system, so anyone can clap others and these claps get accumulated and shown on the leaderboard.
