Can anyone point me in the direction, whether paid or open source, I am looking for a tool that can take a set of articles and break them down into one sentence per line.

Just google "text find and replace tool" and you should find something. Advanced Find and Replace (AFR) is pretty decent I think but you might be able to just use notepad. Just do a find/replace finding your end of sentence punctuation and replacing it with your punctuation and a <br>

BK ReplacEm (search/replace software). Awesome and free. i have been using it for years.
