knee surgery!!!

that sucks I was already in and got out I’m hoping I can get back in!

Fingers crossed for you man.

Yeah I wasn't accepted on medical grounds due to my knees. Despite the fact I could do 200kg on a legg press they had it down as a possible failure if I ever had to carry anyone our id become a casualty myself... I did get a letter asking me to come back and re-apply about 10 years ago but for me it has passed.

I went off and done a close protection course and ended up working with the police, government and other institutions doing non compliant self defence so got a small taste although was never a real fix for the real thing!

Managed to travel the world fighting and got around the place anyway my life been interesting although I miss the friends who got into the forces and missed out on that part of the adventure for myself but more than made up for it.

All the best to you!

Yea sorry you never got to be apart of it sounds like you got to do some interesting things though!

I can recommend you Hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
I did this therapy a couple of years ago after a bad knee injury and reduced the recovery period to 1 month and a half from minimum 6 months as the doctor said. The downside of this is that I paid around 100$ per session and I did around 10 of them but overall worth it

Really that worked I may have to try that to get my recovery time down because I can’t stand this and the wife is going nuts with me being cripple!

You can check online or go for a test visit.
The only requirement was to get an MRI before for them to see exactly what was going on there. After 10 sessions I did another MRI and the knee was more than 80% percent healed.
I brought my father for a check after (he had an old knee injury from football ) but the doctor said that for him is not worth it, it won't help him too much..

All the best to you and a fast recovery!

I've dislocated both my knees a good 3-4 times each, lost count.

On one of the dislocations, I had a bit of bone that chipped off the back of the knee cap they needed to fish out.

I was back playing footie in a few months, but it just keeps happening despite strength training and pads that are meant to keep the knee in place, so I've had to give it up....

who all has had knee surgery and how did it go for you. I tore my ACL, both sides of my meniscus, fractured my tibia, and fractured my femur. I had surgery about 3 weeks ago and was informed my recovery is 6 months. so please give your imput on ways to shorten that if yall know how!

Tore my ACL as well. The surgery was awesome, and was even streamed to all TVs in that hospital. I would say that after 1 year I was back to normal. I wanted to give me some time though, since I didnt want it to tear again. First few days were bad though, not gonna lie. Make sure that you're able to fully extend your leg even if it hurts. It was one of the criteria to let me leave the hospital.

I’ve Had a patellar tendinitis before and it was unbearable. I had an MRI and I thought I needed surgery. Turns out I was just low on vitamin D and vitamin K. As far as the ACL injury, if you get the surgery it Will take you about 8 to 12 months to heal. You won’t be able to walk, and you’ll be in a cast for a couple of months. I played sports, so it’s probably more different than somebody not playing sports, but the recovery is similar.
