[Kindle] Road to Success !

No matter what, I think your results are pretty good. Even if it stays like this, you will have a passive income you don't have to worry about. But I highly suggest you to write more eBooks and to do a marketing way more if you want more sales.

What is crucial in beating competition is doing better marketing. Counting on that more than 60% of authors on Kindle have no clue about marketing, you can easily beat them all and get your sales up to the top. My advice is to concentrate and make every eBook counts. It is great if you can publish 10 eBooks a month. But if every eBook generates only a sale or two each week, than you are mostly wasting your time and you are going to need over 200 eBooks to make serious money.

So concentrate on marketing as much as on writing the eBooks. If you want to share a tip or two, I will be on Skype, ready to talk!

my skype: vristo1 I'm open to suggestions and chat with people in this niche =))

I have read tons of WSO's, forum topics and ebooks about kindle and I came up with an idea. here it is:
Instagram. No matter what niche you pick there, there are always people asking for shoutouts, so here's what I'm testing - http://gyazo.com/be749a57b9c602409378a42475e43660
I receive only 300-500 likes on my pictures for 24h, so I can't really count on that to collect reviews, but I think it will be game changer when I grow more. Worth the shot !

I added you on Skype.

That idea might worth a shot. I've been planning to use Instagram as a marketing tool for my eBooks but it seemed as a too long process to build accounts. However, I believe it's worth a shot in long term and I'll definitely try it out!

That's true, but what is a good "marketing plan" to sell better? I've never seen such a plan - Currently I'm just doing what I think I need to do.

1) I have 8 eBooks (+1 print book) in a specific niche (healthiness) which let me make about 3000$/month. I also have a facebook site for my niche which grows slowly (2 more fans/day) and a website (+Email list). My next plan is to produce 10 more eBooks (+print versions) to dominate the niche. Because I want to keep my books successful (and save my income for the next years) I will publish some small books which I will set for free permanently. That increases my income a little bit and makes it safe. = I'm done with eBooks (in that niche)!

2) My next plan is to produce other products with the content I have.
2.1 Website: The website is still online but I can publish more articles/sites (and earn through Google Adsense and Amazon Affiliates)
2.2 Facebook + Email list: Make money with Amazon affiliate program
2.3 Mobile apps: I can easily publish some mobile apps with my content (I am not interested in sales but I can make money with Google AdMob and/or promote my website, ebooks and so on)
2.4 Videos, Audiobooks, Webinars, paid courses, ... (I have not thought about it, because it is still too far in the future)

3) AT THE END I have big network of different products for my niche that is working like a symbiosis. The products push each other and make sure that each product remains successful. If I want to build up traffic funnels like Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and so on I can be sure that I am successful from the first day (because I have a lot of traffic from my products).

4) I will stay in my category (healthiness) but choose another niche and repeat all the steps above. Because it is the same category/market I can also use the whole traffic of my first niche to be successful with the products in my second niche from day one!

5)
Repeat it for a third niche in my market and so on. Or if I have enough money I can think about physical products.

Thats my marketing plan and nothing else. Do you have any suggestions how I could make it better? Are there any errors in my plan? I dont know what I can do better..

I think you are doing pretty awesome =)) 8 books 3k$/month. For sure I can't give you tips =)

Good luck OP. I planned to get started with Kindle publishing but I never got around to it.

I wish you luck! I have several erotica ebooks on Amazon and the free promotions work great, I always see a huge jump in sales when I use them. Getting reviews is HARD, even the books that sell well never get reviewed! I even ask for reviews before the book starts in the prologue!

Awesome, I'm a writer myself and I'm looking to make some ebooks here soon. I want to get on the kindle bandwagon so to speak lol.

Hell I guess if you have to, outsourcing is a great way to go but to me it seems like it would be easier to write the darn thing myself. You're telling me that you can sell 7000 word "books" on amazon? That's like a term paper back in college. I could knock that out in a week or two. No mess with plagiarism, etc. Lol and all those philosophy classes look like its going to be able to pay off now.

Best of luck though. With proper promotion I think you could easily make a good income with amazon. At least I hope so. I want it too! Lol

You cannot really scale as a business if you do everything yourself.

To make really good money on Kindle you need to look at it more as a publisher than an author and so have lots of books. To do that all by yourself will take you years.

Hi,

I am going to give Kindle a try!

I am still learning... But how do you keyword research for non fiction books? Do you use any tools? I see Amazon suggest me keywords when i type something but how can i get an idea how much searches a keyword gets (estimate volume)?

Thanks!

Hmm I just uploaded my first fiction awaiting review. I welcome any tips :) Also looking for an exchange group ;)

I can vouch... this is a pretty lucrative business.

I've had sales everyday.

very interesting topic, probably will try to publish a book too, got specialized information which i learned over the last 4 years in a specific niche, also i got photoshop/indesign skills so i shouldnt have a problem with the graphic/formating part of the publishing.

I would like to see some numbers in here, i always like that in journeys (how much % per sale, how much % per sold book/day ect)

Okay, here's my last update: I quit this.
Without external promotions it is not possible to earn big. This is my conclusion. Now I have 10 books that I have no idea what to do with.
