Okay, this is a really old post and the OP has a 0 post count, so he likely isn't even here anymore.
I don't remember reading any guidelines on zombies but I thought I'd answer since no one ever did and this seems to be the most recent kindle post.

The best promotion with kindle is to write the next book. You aren't going to get anywhere with just two books, usually. You should always try to write in/have written for you in series, so that each book supports and advertises the next one. New books only get link algo for a very short while and so you need to constantly be putting out new content to be successful. Unless you pay to have a very professional book written and then advertise it like mad. Kindle books must be advertised, too, or else no one can find them, and oh yeah, reviews. The more reviews the better, and amazon has gotten wise to a ton of the blackhat review schemes, so if you want them to stick (unless you're churning and burning) they've got to be genuine reviews from peeps you have no contact with on social media and that can't be traced back to your author account in any way.

So if you realised that why are you still posting here?
