I was in the exact same position as you. Everything I was reading was “nothing” to me I couldn’t make sense of it. 4 months after reading more and more everyday I said fuck it and jumped into something I was interested it. I still don’t get all of the terms everyone is using on here. But it’s a learning process, no one is going to spoon feed it to you. You gotta take The first step and jump in

It's all about finding that sweet spot between stuff you wanna do... and stuff that your bank account wants to do. Good luck on your journey of discovery!
 
If you want to start something that is more whitehat, long term and makes money, then you could try dropshipping. The quickest way is with shopify and the best store to start with is a general department store if you don't have a specific niche and know how you are going to drive traffic to it.
 
Maybe IM is just not your thing. Maybe you should try something different. Try giving stock market a try. Few years ago I thought that i would not touch shares with a 10 foot pole, but it's not as difficult as it seems. Just need the right amount of capital
 
This made me go 'ugh' when I read it. Don't think about it too much, just DO SOMETHING.

I don't care what method you're doing, there's money to be made in all of them, but you'll never learn if you don't try!
 
I can relate to how you feel but truth is you really need to just do something and stick with it.

The best time to start programming, doing Internet Marketing, or planting a tree was 10 years ago.

The second best time is now.

Trying something new is not for the faint of heart. Trying and failing is painful, both personally and financially. Dedicating a year of your life to do IM and getting $0 out of it (which might be -40K+ when factoring in what you could otherwise be doing) can be hard on a career. But everyone falls when learning to walk. You might succeed, you might fail, but despite all for the how-to's, guides, videos and testimonials, experience remains the only teacher.

Does it really count as failing if you learned something that you can take with you in the future? I'm not sure it does.

Take a look at the journey's, read, see what people doing for money, read, read more, read every journey, try something of that if you see some perspective in it.
 
What do you like to do?? What are you good at? I didn't read everyone's comments, I just saw that not once have you mentioned what you enjoy. Or what you are good at.

That has to be your starting point.
