In the terms of the site it says that if you share any file link that you upload to the site, you're responsible for it and what the other user(s) do with it. It also says that if any legal action is brought up because of that file against mega that you will be responsible for paying their legal fees.

The only reason why people used megaupload in the first place was because of the money they could make using it. Some file sharing message boards have already banned the use of kim's new site.

I still haven't received my signup email since this morning. The site loaded fine, took and accepted my details but I've heard nothing since then.

Dotcom tweeted: "Lesson learned... No fancy launch event for Megabox."
Dotcom plans to launch his Megabox music service in about six months.

Yeah the 500GB of storage offer on Mega looks quite good compared to Dropbox.
Dropbox $50 per month / Mega $13 (approx) per month.
Just hope Mega don't come a cropper with hackers like DP did sometime ago.

Mega may have dubbed itself "the privacy company," many have drawn attention to possible gaps in the safety and security of the service. Ars Technica's Dan Goodin reported that hacker Steve "Sc00bz" Thomas has released a program called MegaCracker that is capable of extracting passwords from Mega's unencrypted registration confirmation emails. Forbes and IDG News have also voiced concerns on the strength of the site's security.
