It's worth noting that Kim Dotcom is a nigh on genius when it comes to playing the media!

The ga one is dead as the Gabon government took that down days ago

The URLs are just loading back up...

Remember he said he would launch Jan 20 NZ time when it will still be today Jan 19 in many countries

Don't worry he will have the opening splashed all around the world as it will be PARTY time at his NZ mansion:cool:

He won long back but it was too late. FBI had already deleted all of the data by then.

I don't get why people praise Kim Dotcom so much, he was earning millions of dollars with Megaupload, which got him in a bit of trouble, but he didn't even went to jail for over one year. He has the money to pay the best attorneties to keep him safe, and now he is creating a new site to make him another millions of dollars, which by the way is keeping him safe about pirating, but not the users. If he would be "stading up for piracy" and having "balls of steel" he woulnd't create a site that only gets the users in trouble, he would create a site similar to Megaupload/TPB which can get him in trouble, but now he isn't doing anything illegal. This guy just want to make money, and is given free marketing everywhere, a perfect way for him to keep his riches.

I can understand your point of view but there's more to it then just that. Maybe someone can explain it to you.

I will try it is a tough ask with so many variables and interpretations

Because the Feds took him down illegally and he called in his attorneys by which time the lawmakers had busted all his servers and deleted all the billions of files. What was Kim Dotcom expected to do then just sit back and take it. While sat in a hefty armchair eating a triple big mac burger with double extra cheese and six big portions of French fries. No Sir! He hit back and all credit has to go to him for the way he has bounced back.

He has the money to pay the best attorneys to keep him safe, and now he is creating a new site to make him another millions of dollars, which by the way is keeping him safe about pirating, but not the users.
If he would be "standing up for piracy" and having "balls of steel" he would not create a site that only gets the users in trouble, he would create a site similar to Megaupload/TPB which can get him in trouble, but now he isn't doing anything illegal.
I think arguably, he has hit on a stellar way round releasing data online, because he has shown he is uber shrewd knowing it will be impossible to chase down millions of people releasing free data. This new site could be the one that finally puts the internet bullies firmly back down to base camp.

This guy just want to make money, and is given free marketing everywhere, a perfect way for him to keep his riches.
That might be down to him being smart having brains and using his street wise nous...

Look forward to testing his new site out, I had used megaupload before in the past and really liked the way it worked.

Hey folks it's live and is the greatest thing since ‘Sliced Bread!'

Breaking News Clip

Not long after, he followed up with a tweet trumpeting what he said was the site's immediate popularity: "Site is extremely busy. Currently thousands of user registrations PER MINUTE." And indeed, as of this writing the site was difficult to access at times, perhaps because of heavy traffic.
