You can fool the idiot Adblock users easily by altering the banner size, change the link names and other banner related tricks.
What's important is that the private advertisers do test the sites using adblock to see if these ads are blocked or not, as they do not want their ads to be blocked.
With the modifications done, you will have higher CTR, and annoyed adblock users.

Adblock users are only shooting themselves in the foot. Publishing ads like google adsense is the ONLY WAY to generate revenue while remaining unbiased. For example if you have a review site, you can be honest about your review because it won't have any effect on your revenue.. the adsense program can't tell which hockey stick you actually preferred.. they'all display the same ads anyway. But if people have to turn to CPA to generate revenue, their best interest is then to bullshit you and hype up a product, no matter what quality it is..
