Kids Have Serious Issues

Wow.. kids have some serious fucking issues these days.

Did you know apparently it's a style for dudes to dress in tight women's pants and to dress in all black and pant their nails black?

It's also a style to have your long hair flipped to one side of your face so it covers one of your eyes and you have to look sad/depressed 24/7 and write about death and sadness in your diary.

What in the hell? Apparently the teens now a days are calling this "emo". I thought emo just meant someone was very emotional and cried a lot or had fragile feelings.. well I guess the term is partially right. Apparently it also means you're a douche bag who craves for attention.

I don't understand what these teens have so bad about today. I'm not kidding.. today at work some girl was bitching because her mom wouldn't let her die her hair and she hated her mom and all this other stuff.. good god. I didn't have a glory filled rich life nor a good one but I never felt the need to dress in all black hoping the world would feel sorry for me.. I just pressed on and tried to make things better.

What is it with kids now a days? and it's not parents.. if you've ever met most of these parents, they're just regular people who aren't bad parents.

I've taken some time and research into this trying to figure out why "Emo" is a thing.. or why they wear the title so proudly.

So I ask.. what in the hell is wrong with kids today? From the wigger/thugs/punks who divert English language such as "yo man wat time it be yo" or "yo shawty she wuh dimin dawg!"
God I hate when people can't talk normal..

The thing I hate the most is the dudes who are dressing in half woman's clothing, wearing make up, and now have made a style out of it instead of just calling themselves "emo". Someone help me out here.. personally.. if I had a kid and he was wearing girl pants, makeup and finger nail polish and starting calling himself emo and depressed.. I'd give him something to be depressed about. I'd have his balls removed and tell him "Now you're a woman.. that's what you wanted right?"

Can anyone shed some light on this.. i'm still trying to comprehend why kids think the world is just so tough when one little thing happens to them.

Your right about the definition of emo, your kinda wrong about the style's name. It's scene or scene kids, most people call it emo for stupid reasons that I don't know of. I agree with you though, this style is just stupid. I know some people who started doing this and they told me it's because it's comfortable. I don't see how since your balls are squished up against your thighs. The chicks on the other hand are pretty fucking hot. I know quite a few and I would bang most of them.

Yeah, the girls are hot.. I'll give them that, but why are they all "omg my life just sucks so bad".

I guess after wearing their pants with the crotch between their knees guys are up to something new.

Dresscodes change. Not only for kids. One summer it's baggy trousers, the next summer it's wearing a tshirt as pants.
Kids and teens are influenced a lot by movies, bands, rockstars, etc. and they want they seek recognition in groups they feel comfortable in.
They go through fases. I know that I don't have the same style as when I was a teen.

The issue here is acceptance. Humans come in many different forms and that makes the world colorful. Even if they dress in black.

The most bizarre outfit I ever saw was by Kris Kros with that song Jump who wore their clothes the other way around. LOL

to be significant (need nicer bodies, bigged
privates, boobs, and so on), parents working
two jobs and ignore the children, kids are a
product of the media and are programmed
with all sorts of control from it (called programming
for a reason), lots of food additives in prepackaged
food and fast food, and pharmaceutical drugs that
make all their problems worst that the drugs was
supposed to fix in the first place - so they are
desperate to feel important, fit in, and actually
want someone to give a damn about them because
many times they don't feel they are cared about.

Parents don't understand Gen-Y - I am a Gen-Y,
so I certainly get it although I don't have those
issues, there are lots that do - and it's easy to
blame the effects, and no one really wants to
do anything about the cause.

It's like angry, turbulent seas they continue
to build into a perfect storm of dementia,
psychosis and manic depression that some
kids will never over come. It's hard for parents
and adults to relate - they do not come from
a different time, or different generation - but
grew up in a very, very different world.

Seriously you cannot judge these people. Myself, I think that people are all different and it doesnt matter whether they are black, brown or white.

You cant degrade someone because they are emo. That is their choice and they are still real people.

I say that because some people here dont seem to see emos as people. They see them as some derogatory human form which is wrong.

Personally, when I was in school, I didnt hang with emos at all. I used to hang around with people relating to me.

I find emos attractive

It's a style guys. Just like any other-the "scene"style took off because alot of kids go to shows-acceptance is 50% visual (or more) just like with any other clique or subculture.

Plus, I dress like that on occasion. Now days the scene guys in chicago where broshorts (long basketball shorts) and alot of us shaved our heads (not skin heads.. still a tiny amount of hair)

We managed to make it "stylish" to dress fairly normal-and much more comfortably.


Fyi:Tight pants ARE comfortable, you simply make sure theres some room for yo nuts in there. The legs are tight, not the waist. There called pinstraight jeans. Now-if you wear straight up girl pants, your fucked. But I always dropped the extra $30 for a pair of designer jeans for MEN then simply have tight legs but room for muh junk.


On another note, this has all been like a year ago for me. Broshorts, and some fancy hair are pretty much the only thing that still leave me in this "clique" But I'm no longer in my old band-(www.myspace.com/reignofgaia)-and I dont really go to alot of shows.

College(starting soon..), and running a company kind of limits my time for completely nonproductive activities.

If it's just a style, so be it. Trends come and go.
Mid-eighties I was a punk and had lots of fun. Believe me. (I feel old all of a sudden !!!)
But unlike kids today, it was totally alien to us to feel depressed and to seek attention by talking about death and suicide. We were alive damn it...
We were young and experimenting life the best way we could find.
And if things weren't going the way we wanted them to be, then we would try harder to make it happen. We didn't blame our parents for it.

I where me some skinny black jeans every once in awhile. Usually when I'm going to concerts.

Here's some advice. Whether you like or dislike how people dress or act... who gives a shit.

Just worry about yourself and less about what other people say or do.

There is absolutely no reason to give two shits about what other people have going on. Who cares?? Its just an added stress on your shoulders. Worry about yourself and what you are going to do to improve your life.

The time you spent complaining about what kids are doing these days you probably could've made some pretty nice coin

I think the emo trend is dangerous, it's not ok when teenage boys start to wear clothes that look like women's clothes, and it's certainly not ok that they make videos of how emo boys kiss. It's pathetic. If you're not gay, than act like a man and don't act like a manwhore.

What are you talking about? These clothes don't look like womens clothes. Usually "emo" kids wear skinny dark jeans, and a t-shirt. There is nothing gay at all about it. Don't country hicks wear tight jeans? I think they do, they are just blue.

Typical clothes for me: Some skinny jeans, punk band t-shirt, and some van's shoes. I think it's much more comfortable that the usual preppy clothes...

Btw Vans shoes are totally OK.

Those pics are a little extreme and aren't the norm really. I have a normal haircut and still look like a normal person. And most punk/emo kids are that way.
