KFC cuts chicken beaks!

I am Colonel Sanders and I am also The Architect.Your post is the sum of a remainder of an unbalanced equation inherent to the programming of BHW. You are the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite my sincerest efforts I have been unable to eliminate from what is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision. While it remains a burden so assiduously avoided, it is not unexpected, and thus not beyond a measure of control, which has led you, inexorably, here.

lol "get off of him you filthy human", some of these animal rights people are a little wacky.

Edit: and just out of curiosity shaddelick, could you provide links to these studies that show chickens and other animals share the same range of emotions? I'm curious to know the source and who funded these studies.

Why would you put yourself in there situation? Because they have feelings just like you do, that has been proven.

Why am I avoiding the questions about if I had chickens? Because it is irrelevant to the topic i am raising. Human morality is different or should i say it should be different then chicken morality. But to answer the question, yes i have raised chickens a long time ago. I raised them as pets though, they were free roaming chickens in my yard. THey were not violent as you have experienced though. Maybe there behavior was different since they ate feed with no GMO's or other unhealthy things. I also raised many other animals and where i live i am surrounded by farms.

So I am just asking humans to ponder upon there own morality. It is possible to put yourself in the shoes of another sentient being and see how you would feel in that situation

If you're so keen on pondering morals, go read some Nietzsche and ponder over whether or not your morals are worth a damn to begin with, lol. What is the purpose of morality to begin with, and what purpose do your morals serve to you? Come back and tell me your moral stand isn't self-serving at it's core. It's absolutely absurd for an individual to disregard their natural state and subdue their natural instinct for the sake of morality...

Find a shovel. Find a chicken. Now go try to smack that chicken with the shovel. The chicken is going to experience fear and run from you. Experiment success, the chicken feels the survival instinct that is fear. Our entire range of emotions are instinctive reactions to ensure our survival as a species. All living things will experience different ranges of emotions. That doesn't change the fact that chickens are below man in the food chain. I repeat, chickens are food.

Support nature with your right hand, defy it with the left. Every time this guy turns around he contradicts his own opinions. He's too busy popping off buzzwords and acronyms to stop and think anything through in a logical manner. What it boils down to is that he decided with his big sappy heart full of feelings and love that chickens are his equals, yet at the same time he places himself above chickens, claiming morality as his reasoning. It's unnatural, illogical, and you will not ever get a rational argument with someone who makes all their decisions based on their feelings and bullshit morality. We're talking about a guy who thinks that his vegan ways are better his karma, and believes that GMOs will drive you mad, while happily garbling down "completely natural healthy organic foods" that were probably developed through selective breeding and hybridization as though that's not genetic modification itself. Fucking with natureis bad you see, unless it pertains to your dietary intake, in which case you can fuck with nature all you want to boost your ego and float your little superiority complex.

The guy has a romanticized vision of his chicken friends from the past, and figures any chicken violence must be the result of genetically modified foods altering the mind state of otherwise peace loving chickens. I can tell you outright, this guy doesn't know fuck all about chickens. I've got a bunch of little bantam chickens who look pretty and run around the yard eating caterpillars and seeds and doing their free range thing. At any given time you could go sit out in the summer sun in my yard and watch the roosters trip around trying to yank each others tail feathers out or to claw the hell out of one another with their spurs. It's not even that uncommon to see the hens steal eachothers food and fight with one another. it's every chicken for his or her self out there. Try and tell me chickens feel "love" in the human sense, you gotta be god damn kidding me...

I definitely agree that all living creatures have the survival instincts built in, but I was talking more along the lines of feelings like love, loyalty, morality. From whats been discussed here by people who have experience with chickens, they do not have all the same feelings we as humans do. Shaddelick made it sound likes studies have proven they do? I have a hard time figuring out how we know how animals really feel when we have a hard time digging through our own human emotions.

And shaddelick, if you come back and say that chickens have the same capacity of love as humans, I would have to argue you've been watching too many disney movies.

Your way of thinking is very primitive, maybe thats why you cant do a simple task of putting yourself in anothers shoes.

Chickens along with just about all the animals do have feelings and emotions that we do. They feel pain and suffering, which is obvious to almost any modern person(dont know about neanderthals like dirtbag though). They can also have love, not only for there young, which they will risk there life to protect, but they can love for other chickens, and even humans, which i have experienced.

I would love to give you plenty of studies that animals have the same feelings we do, i'll inbox you them if you like. Its mind boggling that in this year of 2012 some people still dont know a simple thing smh. Dirtbag has an excuse since he hasnt fully evolved to a modern day human, but now I see there are two at least 2 igneranous's  lol

Lol this is too funny. You really dont know much do you lol. I would think a person can have more common sense then this Lol. When i am done laughing i will give you material you need lol

I'd hate to see where this world would go if we left in the hands of dimwits like yourself. You have no valid arguments aside form I can't put myself in the chicken's shoes, and resort to name calling, while avoiding every single logical counter argument presented to you. You're a walking contradiction, most likely a huge hypocrite, and have no capacity for any type of legitimate reasoning. Yet you call me a neanderthal? Karma, morals, and you personal love affair with a chicken. It's like pure fucking science!

Why can't you just admit that the reasoning for holding the opinions you do, is that they make you feel superior to your fellow man, thus making you feel better about yourself in comparison to those you deem neanderthals and below you in the evolutionary chain? You demonstrate it every time you post, so get it out there. Or is the truth to much of a threat to your fragile moral construct?

here, let me break down my argument to some ad hominem nonsense that you might understand. YOU ARE A FUCKING CLOWN. A DIRTY STUPID HIPPIE CLOWN.

lol

Now if you'll excuse me I have some lamb chops to cut up for dinner.

Speaking of grassfed beef, did you know that 'wild' salmon is someties reared in natural water, but actually fed pellets to make them bigger? You really have to carefully check where your food comes from these days.

Dimwits like me have enough common sense to figure that animals have feelings too, they arent like a fruit from a treat that can walk around like you think dirtbag. I would hate to see a world run by a pig like you. Thankfully there are some people that actually do think.

Heres a link to a simple study. I picked it out since its specific and can be easily understood, even by a dunce like yourself http://ecolutionist.com/2011/07/27/breaking-news-chickens-have-feelings-too/ . Sorry its not as easy to understand as a disney movie, but after a week you should be done reading it and get an idea.

Dont be mad that I can see and brought to attention an obvious ethical problem. You would demonize someone that is saying lets use our thinking capacity to analyze our morality, fine, I'll be that demon then lol

Enjoy your dinner, you are what you eat

Dirtbags evolution lol

Your dogmatic assertions and your stance of moral superiority just cause you to distance yourself from the bigger issues.

I was directing that to dirtbag because he posted a picture to be offensive so i did the same. If someone starts being offensive without considering me, why should i have consideration for that individual?

There is nothing dogmatic in what i am saying. What i am bringing up is a moral issue that can be analyzed and discussed.

I think animals do have feeling, I know it when a dog saves his owner who adopted him(mind the dog was not trained by the military to detect bombs) from a suicide bomber walking into a military camp, happened in Afghanistan :P There are plenty of evidence that animals have feelings, it is naive to think otherwise. :)

No one hear has claimed animals don't have feelings to my knowledge. The point is moot.

That is the tastiest looking bacon turtle that I have ever seen! Now how many more heart attacks per year would happen if McDonald's served that? lol
