if i outsourced keyword and didn't specify product ones. They gave me ones that related to a disease term, some viral term, and 2 others.

I'm pretty sure if i build a site around it i won't get too high of a ctr u think that's ok? Or what else should i do? I have a diet site that gets 2-5%. I don't want to expand these terms too much if they give me low ctr.

Hey supamanjon,
Why don't you do the keyword research yourself then? The research part of market samurai is free and you can spend hours/days before finding real gems. Then you need to filter, re-order, add new ones etc. It's a pretty complex process as you know, but if you are not going anymore with the hundreds of sites plan, but 2-3 bigger, authority ones instead then you should spend a lot of time properly researching the niche and keywords. Also don't forget that CTR is highly dependent on ad placement and contents of the ads themselves. We have and had all kinds of sites, product ones get the lowest CTRs in my experience, health/disease related ones the highest. Travel is also a good topic that has thousands of (micro)niches that you can exploit and build upon.

yea. keyword reserach takes a long time. have to get a HUGE amount of keywords and play around till u get lucky and find something that fits your criteria. I'm looking for 10-15k search terms so i can build authority site around it. Figured outsourcing was easier.

Just look at trends and make sure it's not seasonal, how high is the CPC and what are you building it for? AdSense?
