Google changed their whole keyword search page as everyone knows, and now requires an adwords acct to access it.

I've used it a few times since and absolutely hate it. It does not produce anything resembling the results it used to.

I was going to buy the microniche finder, but the guy who sells it (a good couple guys with decent white hat SEO info, etc) never answered my email for the first time on this issue, I suspect because their software no longer works with the new Google system.

I've heard that Market Samouri still works? But I've used it and would prefer the microniche finder.

    Thanks.

Someone else mention in another thread... I forget where... there is a URL for the classic keyword tool still and a link on the new one for switch back to the classic one.

Its somewhere in the past few days of posts... perhaps someone can link to the thread if they know the one I'm talking about.

First off thanks for the amazingly fast reply and esp for the great news. If anyone can help me find that info, I'll give them a huge hug and sloppy wet kiss (with gusto if you look like Jessica Alba).

It's funny I never noticed it before either until I was watching some IM video.

But there's a very distinct link at the top right of the page that says "Previous Interface" that brings you back to the old and good keyword tool. Although I imagine Google will eventually get rid of it altogether.

Also, my MNF works just fine. Maybe you need an updated version, I'm running v5.

no no no... HERE is the real link. You don't have to be logged in to use it. Bookmark it once and then use it all the time... that's what i did.

    Code:
    https://adwords.google.com/o/Targeting/Explorer?__u=1000000000&__c=1000000000&stylePrefOverride=2#search.none!ideaType=KEYWORD&requestType=IDEAS
Also, the keyword tools I've used ARE still working correctly, but there is now some doubt as to weather or not the information provided is accurate and/or trustworthy. For instance, as they've changed the way a lot of things are ranking, seeing a lot of green in the SEO Competition tool doesn't exactly mean what it used to, though it does give some insight as to how the ranking algorithm has changed.

I don't know about the various keyword tools out there, but something important to note about the new interface with Google's tool is that if you aren't logged into Google you will get 100 results when you search keywords on it, the old interface gave 200, BUT if you are logged into Google and do a keyword search on new interface you will receive several hundred results (I've gotten up to 867 with 1 keyword)--that's a lot of great data.

Also, I've found it's better to just download the results as a spreadsheet file rather than try to scan them online, because Google is giving a lot more information about each term with the new interface, especially regarding Adwords costs and data, so there really is a lot of good info there.

I didn't like the new interface at first, but once I dug into it and started downloading the results as spreadsheets to browse I've become a big fan now.

Just thought I'd mention this for anyone who hasn't taken time to look into the new interface and results themselves yet. It's worth checking out.

This is a good point, i almost forgot how i used it lol

I can't stand looking at the data in Google's tool either. My process tends to involve throwing keywords into the google tool, exporting all results, then importing them into MS along with any keywords MS wants to generate.

What i end up with? 1000+ keywords, and tons that i've never seen before. I, for one, have found that Google's new keyword is uncovering some keywords that i never saw before, in niches that i thought i'd completely looked through.

old interface is still there and working. MNF and MS are working good too. In fact I have my own script that uses old interface to automate things and it works perfectly so no worries.
