Keywords rank changed after creating search console

Hi there,

I was using my website without google search console and without adding website sitemap in google. Yesterday i learned some basic seo and done both but suddenly today all my keywords ranking changed. The keyword for which my website had been ranked 5th in the google that is now on the 4th page and same with other top 5 keywords. Can this be linked or its random.?
