keywords in DOMAIN NAME = Page #1?

I can't remember which ebook i read, but this is what they said..

eg. We are going to rank the longtail keyword "Earn Money At Home"

with a decent amount of backlinks +
you name your domain name "EarnMoneyAtHome.com" you are likely to be in page #1

if so, what if it redirects to another page? will it still stay in page #1?

Yeah man, absolutely. And if you use it twice you'll automatically be #1!
 
a keyword domain deserves a bonus by google but it doesnt automaticially rank for #1.

the position wouldn last forever if you redirect the page. if it's too suspicious (e.g. spam, bad neighborhood, content != earnmoneyathome), google realizes this very fast :)
 
yes keyword domains will bring high SERP results in short span of time irrespective of .com or .net etc.,

Like if it does a 301 redirect?

And yes, you should find Exact Match Domains with keyword tools like Keyword Scout.
 
Just coz the KW is in the domain name doesn't mean it will rank No. 1 in G
 
Maybe in Adsense 100k Blueprint book you read this :P
 
If you 301 right from the beginning, the EMD is no good but after a couple of months it shouldn't hurt your rankings too much if it is a legit site and no MFA project.
 
Domain name gives a good bonus in ranking, but visitor's behavior is more important: how long time they spend on your website etc. If you use redirect, Google will treat it like "doorway page" most likely
 
doesn't work like that, used to be that exact match domains had more weight but now its really not that important.

I'd say EMD really does help, I did a test earlier, bought an EMD, no backlinks, ranked 1st page (believe it or not). So I still think EMDs really do help.

There's no proof in this. Keywords in domain still works very well, on many queries I have annoying shitty shites outranking my site, just based on keywords in the domain. For Google to use time on site as factor is stupid, because some sites, might have something that requires you to stay less, where others you have to stay more: e.g. sites where you have to click on page 2, just to read the article. Also only about 20% of sites use GA, so they don't have enough data imo.

I can't disagree. But redirect discussed in this thread means that user spend no time at all at website, which Google don't like for sure
 
Some blackhat-ters say yes it still work, some say it wont work.
So the next question is...

IF exact keyword in domain works, which domain system will rank better?
(eg. .com, .us, .net, .info)

So if i am living in US, i get "EarnMoneyAtHome.US" and spam a decent amount of backlinks, it might work??

2nd Question, If I don't redirect the site, but i duplicate my site, and use a spinner to spin most of the content it's still a WIN for me?

If you want to get top 10 in a low competition keyword it will be useful for you, but if your keyword is competitive it will NOT be enough. Having keywords on your domain gives advantage but never guarantees anything. That's all...
 
1st question:
n.e.t or c.o.m is equal but always try to get the topleveldomain from your country! info does probably rank slightly better if you got real good content on separate sites on it (perfect onpage optimized, images and videos = increases user time on the website; resulting in a smaller bounce rate)


2nd question:
there istn such a thing like a duplicate text filter! if you got the same content on different domains it doesnt matter. in this case both will rank, but the best-optimized (& relevance) will get the higher ranking.

It gives a push , but it's not everthing

Also , redirecting the page to a weak seo page will make u loose the rankings
