Keywords For General Blog

Hi all,

I run quite a large general interest blog. We post our own opinions about topics such as music, celebrities, fads and other funny things in the news.

I'm struggling to pick a few keywords to use, can anyone help me out?

The site is: sickchirpse dot com - obviously each post has it's own keywords but I need to decide what to use for the front page.

Also, what would the best way for me to rank higher in Google for 'Sick'?

Your site is not a Micro Niche site , it is a portal/news like site so you shouldnt expect to rank in some constant words for your front page..

Think your every post a separate micro niche site and try to rank for a special keyword(s) in this post, not for all the site..

And belive me , you will never rank with the keyword "sick" for this site..(it is not because of your site is not good enough ), it is because of this term and your site is unrelated..Even dont bother to make one link with its anchor text "sick"..Thinking this is sick .

Ah ok got ya - even with just one post do we still have a chance of hitting the front page of Google with great content and SEO? Even if the rest of the site is unrelated?

thats the point of general sites
but 90% of time, you wont.

Yeah , you can rank only with your posts. It is like :

KW1,kw2-->post_a --> rank #6

kw3, kw4---> post_ b --> rank#4

.... and so on..


kw1,kw2 dont need to be related to kw3 and kw4..


I have seen and experimented this many times..(i,e somebody has a fashion blog and write an article about seo product and his this special post always rank for that special keyword high..)

But , this was the earlier case..Now I heard after panda update if some part of your site is not good it pulls all the site down..I dont know just +1 for the "F the Google"..
