I am starting to autoblog and I am stuck trying to figure out what domains I am going to use. I am using a system where I have 5 domains with 5 sub domains for each totaling 25 blogs. I have keywords for each of the sub topics I'm trying to target.

My question: Do I make my 5 domains with general keywords like cheapcomputers.com
computerdiscounts.net
etc

-or-

Do I make them in relation to one of the unique keywords I have found
payingforyourcomputer.com
computersmadeintheusa.org
etc

(This isn't my niche, I only used those names as examples.)

If the niches are large enough I would target the keywords to niches rather than the broader names where it should be more difficult to rank. I should add the devil is in the details! For example, if I was go after eBooks I would target iPad, Nook or Kindle not a generic ebook keywords.

You can use general keywords as domains and then unique keywords as subdomains... This way you get both :)

For example:- payingforyourcomputer.computerdiscounts.net

You can also go for directory structure and install different wordpress into different directory... I prefer this model...

phrase match domains are losing power- G devalued them recently IMO

can anyone tell from their expirience, how good the product domain name with added word as scam converts? per example. dietpillsscam dot com

thnx

I would get a short, general keyword domain related to your "global" niche.
Then create specific subfolders / subdomains for every mini-niche.
IMHO subfolders are easier to index and easier to rank nowadays.

It depends on your competition on the general keyword. If there is not too much competition on the general keyword go for that as you will get two for the price of one. Otherwise go for the niche..
