BHW members success with amazon really inspired me so I decided to try it by myself. I was doing a niche and keyword research for a couple of days and I think that I had found one. But before creating a website I want to ask you some questions about it. Firstly is it bad that my keyword have some differences from domain? For example keyword is "best surfing places" and the domain is "bestplacesforsurfing". Secondly, google's keyword tool shows that my keyword has 49.500 wide monthly searches with medium competition and 9.900 exact monthly searches with low competition. So what it says about the keyword? Is it good enough?

    Sincerely,
    pamparam.

    1. Yes, it does make a difference if your domain is exact as the keyword you chose.

    2. The competition column in google keyword tool shows the number of advertisers for that keyword, not the actual competition of webpages.

According to matt cutts the head of webspam at Google, the excat match domain name doesn't matter anymore , and you can use any niche related domain name to get the same results.
and as for your keyword, you need to search the competition using a keyword research tool like ultimate niche finder, longtail pro etc... and then you can determine if your keyword is good enough to build a site about.
you can find a free tool here

Use gkwt. It is really helpful. But do not trust it much. You can use semrush to verify.

Thank you for your help, but tool you offered for me didn't work.

    Ok, thank you :)

Now I think that my keyword is bad because in the first google page is amazon website. So if I want to earn from amazon affiliate my website should be in the first google page and amazon should be at least in the second or third google page.

The keyword seems quite broad. It should do well with adsense. You'd be better off checking out the people who are bidding for these keywords (adwords) Then see if they have an affiliate program or contact them directly.
