Hey guys, okay so I'm not sure what's happening but anyway let me explain.

1. I have new site, it's doing well In terms of indexing and ranking. Most or all my keywords show up in the serps which is great for a new site.

2. There is one keyword which is low difficulty (checked through a tool and manually) but for some reason it won't rank.
It's manually written as well

3. I don't believe it's a quality issue because some random site is ranking for it and its a copy and paste chatgpt article less than 500 words. The site is basically spam

4. There are only 2 pages showing in Google for this keyword so I'm supposed to be somewhere there but I'm not.

5. I already rank well with no backlinks at all for even some medium difficulty keywords so it can't be backlink thats needed right now.

In summary I'm supposed to rank somewhere in those two pages but I'm not. I am indexed according to console and manually checking. But I just don't appear in the serps. That keyword is what I really want to rank for. Even if I'm 10 position I'll probably get some traffic which I'm okay with.

try to re-write the content and take some more keywords related to that blog. Inorder to tell and understand google what is it about, do backlinking on good sites too. and if possible take guest post from good website.

if your site is less than 1 month old I'd not stress about it too much as there's a big possibility you will lose all rankings anyway. Many times google ranks the new sites during their first 2-4 weeks (I don't know why they do it) without much input from webmasters, but then the sites vanish into nowhere, at which point you can only bring them back with backlinks. It doesn't happen for all sites, but for a good chunk of them, so wait for the month to pass and then you'll know whether it's even worth bothering with that keyword / page...

If the honeymoon with google is over and you're still ranking (lucky you!) then most likely there's something with that page that's wrong, or which google doesn't like. It could either be that your domain - being new - lacks authority (google loves authority nowadays, even if the sites / pages are garbage and totally unrelated to the search queries google will still rank those authoritative sites over your extremely relevant and white hat site, google are in this business for their own sake, not for your sake, remember that)

As I was saying... it could either be a lack of authority, or it could also be lack of internal linking, or the page is too deep in the navigation hierarchy (like 4-5 clicks away from the homepage) and you - being a new site - didn't have enough crawl budget for google to crawl (thus find and rank) this page... it could also be poor / lack of optimization (although, this seems unlikely if the other site ranks with not even relevant content), it could be a lack of / difficulty in indexation... it could be many reasons really...

If I were to guess, I'd say that (the lack of) authority is the problem, but what do I know? I've stopped doing SEO 3 years ago, so I\m not sure what works anymore, I can only guesstimate...

If your site is still new, that's why you're not ranking just yet. The sandbox for new websites is a real thing.

As a new site it is common to just focus on your consistent work, don't go with only one keyword as u said above just build some other keywords along with them, Long tail keywords work better

So, try to do your efforts without any issues

You need to rewrite your content and mention the keyword a few times more. Maybe you're mentioning it very few times.

It's a new website, continue creating content and don't stress about it for now

Your site is new, some pages will rank and some will not, if you are adamant about that keyword, might find a long tail for it and publish it, you might get lucky

Your site might be in the sandbox. Just keep publishing more quality articles with proper internal linking. Also, check your competitors and find what kind of keywords & topics they are ranking for. You can publish articles relevant to those topics and build backlinks from relevant sites to increase authority and trust.

Also as you are saying that , Rank 1 website is having copy paste AI written article than you have a fair chance to outrank by writing a really informative handwritten content and adding some topical pages around it.
It also wont hurt, if you get some niche edits to your target page from a relevant established article on an Authority site.
Good Luck

Okay, I just want to share my knowledge here that may workout to you.

You said you already ranked the lots of keywords but not for the one which you want. First of all to make sure your site is enough good with it's authority score and the density of that particular keyword in your website page.

If it's new to the Google then obviously it needs the time to analyze and index your content and rank the keyword.

And I hope you did the all the measurements at your site to ensure the indexing [ Robot.txt , Site Map , Manuel Submission ] .

Also, it's time taking process which is not possible within short span until unless you have the high quality backlinks to gain the organic traffic and other SEO tactics.

So, just check these points once and I believe it could be resolve soon :)
