i'm launching an urban music website, and am creating pages for each artist that will feature their music and personal info. the bulk of my marketing will be grass roots, as these artists will be active contributors to the site.
now some of these guys spell their names pretty strange. for example, there's an artist named tek-9. my first instinct is to spell the subdomain as they spell it: website.com/tek-9 ist his ok? or would it be better to spell it: website.com/tek9 since when these guys go on the radio, chances are they won't include the hyphens when they promote their section?
