Keyword Rich or Branded Domain Name?

Hey guys,

So I've heard some different stories and I'm not sure which is best. I'm starting a site that I want to monetize through adsense and amazon affiliate. I have my niche and all the best LSI's picked out.

However, I thought I should go with a keyword rich domain after reading the thread titled "The Ultimate Guide To Choosing and Finding a Great Domain Name" (sorry can't link yet.), but it is from 2013 so I wasn't sure if that info was still up to date.

Do I want to go off of what was described there, or choose a branded domain name?

you can't use a brand in a domain name, i was threatened with legal action for using olympics in a domain name. Weeks of stress trying to keep out of court, they wanted to sue me for thousands. Best stay away from brands

If it's Microniche website, i would probably choose a PMD (partial match domain) instead of a branding one.
If it's authority, go for something brandable.

I prefer Brand able domain name but it should be in your keyword.
