How do you know whether or not you can beat out the competition of a phrase when doing keyword research?
I'm using the tool and finding long tail keywords, but it seems like every one I find has quiet a bit of strong competition in terms of DA, PR, IC, etc. Matching/beating the links aren't too big of a issue I'm sure, but everything else just seems tuff.
The only thing I've noticed is that sometimes I might stumble on to keyword phrases that are mostly missing from in the title/desc/header/etc. Does that warrant an attempt to target that keyword phrase? I'm just worried about this because I tried targeting something similar a few months ago where the 1st page of Google had no exact matches of the phrase (usually missing atleast one word) and I didn't even rank in the top 1000.
