keyword research tool!

I am in the process of creating a free keyword research tool.

So far it gets an input keyword/phrase from the user and then basically does what the adwords keyword tool does, gets similar words and shows estimated cpc, global searches, etc. In addition it does provide the amount of results for each keyword under exact.

I am adding a function that will analyze the top 10 positions in google for the specific keyword, if a specific user inputted criteria has been met e.g. Global monthly searches greater than 50k AND exact results less than 100k

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can add to improve this program?

Am I wasting my time because another program of the type has already been made?

Thanks Gromered, will definitely leave you a PM when I have completed it. Not satisfied with it yet. I want a complete automated process of finding golden keywords.

Thinking of adding a list function with proxies, where users can just load a list of keywords and then the program will run through the list searching for good keywords while we are sleeping.

Does it show # of searches vs number of results? I'm surprised that a lot of tools I've seen demos for only provide keyword only one or the other.

I think in Micro Niche Finder it had a "Strength of Competition" button where you could check how SEO friendly your competitors pages were, if you could build this into your software I'm sure it would be welcomed by users.

Yeah I'd be interested in trying something like that out as well.

To be honest mate i think you are wasting your time.

Nice idea, but if you cant provide anything that other programs can do then your not going to win (unless its totally free)

Market samurai is probably the best keyword research tool out there. The cost is not alot at all really and i even believe on this forum you can get a cracked version.

I dont mean to put you down, just offering advice, and mine is if you cant match market samurais features dont waste your tine

i think google is itself an great search tool.
