what is the question?
there's no question. OP just wanted to show us that keyword research is better than SEO because the site he's showing in this image has only 8 backlinks but tons of traffic which - in the absence of lots of backlinks - could have only come as a result of good keyword research. At least that's how I interpret that image :)

Yes but you will easily get crushed by high authority competitors that started to compete with you for those same keywords.

Could be, but anyhow, keyword research is also a part of SEO, if you want to work on ranking, you have to find the most relevant keywords first, so I don't really see much difference here.

I thought exactly the same, keywords are a huge part of SEO !

Many newbies use the words SEO and "link building" interchangeably, so most likely this is the case here, as well. But yeah, you're right

it is useless to build a thousand thousand backlinks if your keywords are ultra high competition.

This is only true for some niches. Most mainstream niches cover keywords that don't even exist.

You can use zero volume keywords that get high traffic, depending on your niche.

Ahrefs, usually significantly increases traffic figures. There may be no traffic at all.

I do not see keyword research as part of search engine optimization. (prove me wrong) Keyword density, internal links with anchors, etc. they are, so actually the title was not correct as those were used. I meant > links.
