Keyword Research Recommendations

Hi

I've trialled LongTail Pro, but had a hell of a time with the Captcha, so didn't see much difference to Google's KWP.

However I was interested in the Platinum KC scores. I just didn't think it was worth splashing out with the problems I was having with Captcha.

Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who can give keyword suggestions with something like LTP's Keyword Competition scores?

I've found a lot of longtail keywords myself but am looking for one's which I can rank for much easier. Most of the top 10 sites I've researched for a lot of keywords are massive authority or ecommerce sites.

Try SEMRush. Even though it is sort of pricey.

What I'm after is like MisterF has suggested, someone in the marketplace perhaps who has a good rep for supplying good keywords with low competition.

I know, I know, why didn't I just say it like that in the first place :noidea:

Great post joeb1ow. Thanks! I have read some of these, there's a ton of resources here. I have always done KW research myself, but it takes time of course and the LTP Keyword Competition feature I understand is a pretty fair indication to the chance of ranking well without having to manually do this for every KW.

Will try some of the tools you've linked to and maybe carry on doing it myself.

Take a look at Keyword Canine. It's super user friendly. It doesn't only help you uncover keywords, but it shows you how easily you can rank them. Highly recommend.
