Keyword Research: Need Clarification on CPC for Search / Display Ads

Please I need a little bit of expert adsense consultation here. So I have been doing keyword research on ahrefs for particular keyword. i am seeing CPC of about $3. What I do not understand is if this applies to a click on a search paid ad only or if this also applies to display ads.

I haven't seen any reference that says it applies to display ads (adsense). if it does not then how can i determine the prospective pay per click on a display ad on my website? is there a way to determine this? or is there a way to use the price of search CPC to determine the potential payment of the same keyword on adsense? thank you

CPC value is for Google search paid ad.

Atleast I am not aware of any tool that shows display ad cpm / cpc.

What you can do is that you can try to create a display ad in adword? That should help you.

so does that mean, if you have traffic from $0 CPC keyword, still you can earn money?
