Keyword research method for beginners [A Small Newbie Guide]

Hello BHW,
In this thread, I will share my keyword research strategy. This method will be newbie-friendly and time conserving.

Tools requirement

• Ahref
• Moz bar

Step-1

Go to chrome and search this term;

intitle:your niche "Is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates program"

In this guide, I took the "Aquarium" niche for reference. And I am going to search for three different similar terms for the maximum number of seach results.

term 1 - Aquarium
term 2 - Fishtank
term 3 - pet fish


For example, if your website belongs to the "headphone" niche, then the terms should be like;
term 1 - headphone
term 2 - earphone
term 3 - earpod
etc.

So our final search queries are

• intitle:aquarium "Is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program"
• intitle:fish tank "Is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program"
• intitle:pet fish "Is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program"

Step-2
Take a look at the SERP. Yes, they are your competitors.




Now you will find multiple websites that have less than DA 10. Copy their URLs in the notepad.


DA = 9


DA = 8

Now we have 14 weak websites in our notepad.


Step- 3
Now go to ahref --> batch analysis, paste all the Urls and click analysis.

Here is the result. These sites are getting thousands of traffics.


Step- 4

1. Go to the site explorer and Copy their top-performing keywords.
2. Write 1.5x to 2x more word article compared to the top one.
3. Build some good backlinks.

awesome guide! I remember having read something similar an year ago (not on BHW I think, but I don't remember where) and wanted to use it but I forgot. Thanks for reminding me and for sharing it

It would be a good newbie guide if Ahrefs wasn't too expensive!!! To be fair it works with other KW tools which allows you domain check as well so still pretty useful
