So, i've just decided to try and start working on a microniche site in the making money niche, where i'll monetize solely via adsense. I've never done much of this before, so i'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed even after reading a lot. There doesn't seem to be an actual guide or method to follow step by step, which is different for me. Furthermore, what's really been annoying me lately is that there seems to be so many different keyword research tool out there and a lot of them come up with different competition levels for keywords i'm researching. So I guess my question is, which keyword research tool should i spend the money on and should trust? I know that i should do my own manual research through google for my specific keyword after analyzing it through the tool. I'd just like to have a good research tool so i can actually stop procrastinating and get to work. Thanks everyone!

i am in need to build my first micro niche website, however this particular step is holding me back. Hope someone can help.

It's not that complicated.
I use keyword.io to find keywords ideas. Then i put them in long tail platinium to check competitiveness (it gives a Keyword competitiveness score). Then I check manually if I can rank, buy looking at the metrics of the Top 10 results : PA, DA, TF, CF, age of domain, KW in title,...
You should also check the excellent article from authorityhacker.com : they evaluate all the best keyword research tools.

Thanks, will check it out! As for when you're checking the metrics for the top 10 results manually, what do you look at exactly for PA, DA, TF, CF, KW in title? Is there somewhat of a cheat sheet you refer to when you look at those metrics in order to decide to use the keyword or not? Example: PA above or below x amount. Or do you just check quickly and instantly know whether it's a good keyword or not?
Thanks! :)

Keyword research is not a difficult and need to spend more time to find the target low competition keywords.
Best tools: Semrush, keywordtool.io and ubersuggest
Tools are not matter to find, you need a unique methods.

You need to check the top 10 competitors metrics manually, even though the tools showing low competition.

I have a little problem right here: after seing those metrics, how can you tell wether it's possible to outrank this webstie or not? is there a certain score of PA, DA, TF, CF and backlinks to use as a reference?

For a quick way to judge the competitiveness of a KW KeywordRevealer.com has a few free searches you can use each day. It's not 100% accurate, but it should help give you an idea.

I recently used one of this forum micro site service and happy with it.

Back in 2013 when I was running my retro gaming site, I meticulously searched out every keyword for each article that I wrote. After 3 months - I was burned out and lost hundreds of dollars trying different things. I just couldn't force myself to write another article using the above method. Now there's all these automated tools that you can use and it really helps if you know how iMacros works (which I dont).

I think I would just outsource the articles if I were in your place, but that would require around 1k USD to find content writers willing to work for 2 or 3 bucks on a 500 word article. Once you do that, you'll still get ranked by google, even though the revenue will not be nearly as good as it could be if you knew your stuff. If a few of your articles make it to the first 2 pages then you will already be better off than I was because I only had around 150 unique visitors per month, lol.

This is why I'm focusing on social media first, because I can just get my followers to visit my site without worrying about google much. Hope this helps.
