hey guys, just had a quick question. What if i did my keyword research found real low competing long tailed keywords like really low around this certain niche..gather a good amount of them..like they all wont be super targeted but they will still be in that same niche..then bookmark them all either on digg or delicious on a couple of different accounts and what not..now if each of these Search Terms only had 15,000 and below search results would all of my search terms get on the first page..if so how long would they stay up there for?? thx.

Maybe one day, maybe one year... If someone knows how long he must be Google itself...
 
Yeah, you should be able to take the first page 80-90% of the time by simply Digging with that kind of competition. I always go for the long tails. I think of it as picking the lower hanging fruit, may not taste as good, but definitely has a higher quantity and in the end fills you up with traffic faster.

A rather gay analogy I must admit, but it definitely fits. Ideally find yourself about 400-500 possible long tails for your niche, gradually over a week or so (so you don't get bored as fuck) write articles or submit Digg's or whatever and you should easily be able to get 1K+ unique a day to your site, if not more.

Hey very cool, is there anyway i could help all my diggs get some more power so they can stay up there longer..
 
IF you have one of the socialbook mark tools such as bookmarkwiz, socialbot or BMD then you can create multiple accounts on bookmark sites and digg all those sites. All the tools mentioned are good. There are other threads out there discussing them.

As mentioned already you shouldn't have to hard a time getting on the first page.
