hi guys

i'm curious about this, if I'm ranking ok for keyword "A B C" , does that mean I'm also ranking ok for keyword "A B" or "B C". You know what I mean? Like does "A B C" cover the other combinations like "A B" and "B C" ? Or do I have to promote the other two keyword phrases as well?

Appreciate the feedback, thanks

not necessarily. sometimes happens and sometimes you have to promote backlinks for to the AB and BC version in order to rank.

well i guess it doesn't hurt to promote the other keywords as well. Thank you

No it definately wont hurt...

If im trying to target the keyword "red car" for example, I have noticed that my site will start to get visits from people typing in "little red car" or "new red car" so my next step is to throw more links out aimed at these keywords, after all im already getting noticed for them so i might as well get to number 1 for them too.

Once i have started to create links with these new found keywords i will then start gettin visitors from different variations like...

"little red car for sale"
"red car interior"

I notice that it will chose my keyword that i targeted but also it will pick out simple word in my site to go with the keyword phrases.

This to me just makes SEO so much easier, Google is obviously reading my site well and is insisting that i chose all these other keywords too!

Hope this helps and much love! :D

Thanks for the info; I was actually wondering the same.

I figured as much as what's been said, but it's nice hearing it from someone else.

It's as if these people have realized it doesn't artificially raise post count like say valid contributions would!

i think it depends on how google considers the keyword string to be a keyword or not. Like it may consider "abc" to be a keyword for which it has search volume, but "ab" and "bc" may not be getting enough volume to be considered as such in googles eyes...best to do both.

I generally just laugh at those "thanks for sharing" replies from noobs, seen too many on DP.

Back to topic, the reason I asked this was because the keyword phrase I am ranking now actually has low search volume (for "A B C"). So I used adwords keyword tools and found that "A C" and even "B C" and some other related phrases have a lot more search volume per month. That might explain why I rank high for "A B C" but not much traffic yet. So now I should rank the other ones.

Well lesson learned :)

Thanks again

Absolutely, I would just write up some articles about 300-500 words (altho im not 100% on this now with the new G algorithm change) and place them on web 2.0 properties targeting these keywords,

So example make 5 articles (good quality - not spun shite) and title them with "A C bla bla" and another 5 articles titled "bla bla B C" or whatever just as long as you got your new keywords in there somewhere...keywords at the start of the title would be the best choice and remember to place a link to your money site in them.

Put up articles on wordpress/blogger etc...seo them nicely with plugins and then start building links to them and you should start seeing some nice results within a week or so. maybe quicker if you start pinging those articles/links, altho not advisable to ping brand new sites.

Thanks for this, just to clarify though, when you say "the start building links to them", by "them" you don't mean the main money site, but the web 2.0 sites that were targetting the keywords "AC" "AB" and were linking to your site?

Yes you dont want to be putting all your links to your money site like the saying goes "don't place all ya eggs in one basket" :D

The stronger you make the web 2.0's pointing to your money site the more authority your money site will gain. And also if you are to do something wrong or get punished by big G then you are likely to get one of your web 2.0 sites sandboxed rather than your main money site.

Yes the title, almost forgot about putting the keyword phrase in there as well. I suck at SEO and its time for me to pick up the slack. I'm gonna get some articles soon for 2 of the keyword phrases just to test the effect of this. Thanks
