my EMD's tanked. haven't seen so much red on my ranking reports in a while! Authority sites are bobbing a bit but nothing drastic... Keep your head up, If I was your client I wouldn't be freaking out... yet!

I've had a similar issue with a non EMD - stable rankings for non competitive terms on a small business website for over a year then around the 29th Sept all KWs tanked. The site is still indexed and receiving some impressions but a fraction of what it once did.

I'm building some more links and refined some of the on-page which was fairly poor. Not much more I can do for now. I may post if/when the rankings improve. This is very odd.

Authority site, NOT an EMD, 100% unique, well-written content, 6 years old - traffic is now at less than %20 of what it used to be; it looks like Google are dropping pretty much random sites just for the fun of it

About the time you made your post (give or take a few days) I had a "moral argument" keyword ranking that went from about 28 to 116, and a "euthyphro dilemma" keyword ranking that went from somewhere in the 30s to 146. It was if all my SEO efforts went down the crapper for those two pages.

Same thing here, some sites up some are down.

luckily I have different sites in the same niche and use other leads sources for my main keywords.

I had multiple keywords ranking for some important keywords, however G blew that away,
luckily I did have other sites on page one for the same term and they where not affected.

If definitely an exciting Roller Coaster at the moment.

I have site in google brazil.. Authority site and didn't have spamming backlink. All white hat seo... And today my site going to nowhere.. Hahahahaha

This happened to my site too, not an EMD and it's an authority site. I am #1 for over 2 years and last week I am now #8, not sure if it's a dance or what. I am going to wait for two weeks and see what is the result.

If the persons business is relying on best of the best ranking to stay afloat they may as well just shut up shop now. That's nothing.

One of my sites went from having many terms on page 1 and 2 to page 50 today. THATS A PLUMMET!
