This is a good place to start. Make sure that you have the Exact Match box checked when doing your keyword research, it is a very common mistake for beginners to over look this. Since it is your first micro niche site I suggest just looking through the free themes on WordPress and finding one that offers the ad placements that you would like in the future. I also suggest not putting any ads on your site in the be beginning. Best of luck to you.

CTR theme is a basic theme for wordpress that is alright if your not big into design. Seo plugin and off course change your permalinks. Write some good articles keyword rich and make sure it makes sense. Depending on the keyword you may want some some sort of translator plugin. WP-page navi, seo platinum, is really all I use and I get good traffic.

A few suggestions for you to look into:
•Directory submission
•Write articles linking to your site through article directories such as Ezine
•Manually posting blog comments
•Manually getting forum backlinks Paul & Angelia style
•Link Wheels
Do some searches around here for those, you'll learn a lot. Best of luck to you.
fiverr, loads of link building services on there, some better than others but loads of link pyramid services etc.
