Keyword Question

Ok...so my question is this..if I'm doing well with a particular keyword with a site and would like to then attempt another keyword...is the best and preferred way to do this by making another(more) page(s) on the web site all related to that keyword, and then start getting back links related to that keyword pointing to the new page? Or is there a more efficient way of doing it using an already existing site?

You'll have more success optimizing different pages for specific keywords. It's much easier to get keyword density on a new page.

Thanks. I was starting to think that once I began thinking about it more...I guess an internal link going to the new keyword and vice-versa would provide some increased perceived value as well possibly...
