Hello guys,

I have a small question regarding one of my keywords I am ranking now. According to search console, my kw is on place 1.9 but according to a tool called "serpmarker" it is on position 4.0 . As I think the console is more accurate, but it takes time for it to update. What do you think should I rely on this tracker or not and can you suggest for a good tracker which isn't very expensive. I need to track around 150 kws/monthly.

Thanks in advance!

Every kw tool will give you a different result

You can use console at the moment.

When you have more sales and money to invest serp checker, you can go as you wish.

Try trail versions and test before buying.

Thanks! So you think that serp checker is the most accurate tool at the moment? It's showing me 4.0 position too.

It's my personal experience :)

But I use free version only since i wont have much keywords :)

You can rely on console for keyword search position. The problem is that it takes a bit of time to update. Because even I believe that every tool will give you different result.

Every tool will give you a different position. Check 2-3 keywords positions manually and then tally with search console. You will find only 60-70% results are near to accurate. Once you have an investment go for ahref or semrush, those are good with 95% accuracy.

They're both right. Your position varies depending from which country the IP is that accessed Google, what search history it has, and which Google TLD it was using. You might all be using Google.com, but a guy from Spain gets different results than a guy from the Netherlands.

I understand that. My kw is mainly used in the USA & Canada. It's not used in other countries. I just want to know can I rely on these keyword trackers and how accurate is G. console too? This is a big difference as you can understand that when you are fighting for the first place...

Every tool gets a result from Google and updates in time intervals, so use the source "search console" for your tracking and it's free too.

We use serpbook a pretty good tool for rank tracking.

Google search console position is not like you think (i assume), you can google how it works. So in many times its not the right number, while other rank checkers are accurate.

Bottom line: dont rely on Google search console on most things...

I think google gives average and not current position

Best tracking tool with accurate results is definitely spyfu when it comes to tracking keywords but it is paid service
